Section titled “🌟 General”What is CAICHAT?
A platform for roleplay stories with AI characters. Pick a character from the catalog or create your own, and play out the story in a chat: the character replies, remembers details and stays in role. To get started, see First steps.
Is it free?
Who can see my chats?
Other users can’t see your chats. Under the community guidelines, moderators may review messages that were reported or flagged by the safety system. To make sure nobody can read a conversation without a password, turn on encryption.
Is there an app?
There is an Android app and an app inside Telegram (@caichat_bot). There is no separate iPhone app yet — use the website or Telegram. See Apps.
What language do characters speak?
Characters usually reply in the user’s language. If a character switched to another language, type /cmd Write in English. The site itself works in Russian, English, German, Portuguese and Ukrainian.
💬 Chats
Section titled “💬 Chats”The character forgets what happened earlier
The AI only remembers the latest part of the conversation. Save important things as memories and pin them. Higher plans have a bigger conversation memory. See Memory and memories.
The character repeats itself or goes in circles
Regenerate the reply , edit it or send the /cmd Stop repeating yourself command. Switching models also helps. See Chatting with a character.
How do I steer the plot in the direction I want?
Three ways: edit the character’s reply, give an instruction with a /cmd command, or start a new story branch with New chat from here. See Chatting with a character.
How do I make replies longer or shorter?
The character adapts to your style: detailed lines with actions lead to detailed replies. You can set the maximum reply length in the model settings, and long replies (up to 300 tokens) are available from the Explorer plan. See Models and behavior.
How do I start a story with a character from scratch?
Click New chat in the chat’s side panel. The old chat is kept in the Chats section.
Can I change the model in the middle of a chat?
Yes, at any time: choose another preset in the chat’s side panel. The next replies will be written by the new model. See Models and behavior.
🎭 Characters
Section titled “🎭 Characters”How do I create my own character?
Click , add an avatar, a name, a first message and a personality description. It takes a couple of minutes. Step by step — in Creating a character.
Can I move a character from another platform?
Yes: by a link from spicychat.ai and juicychat.ai, or from a JSON, PNG or JPG file. See Importing characters.
Why can’t I see NSFW characters?
They are hidden by default. Enter your date of birth (18+), verify your email and turn on NSFW display in your profile settings. See Profile and settings.
A character disappeared from the catalog
The creator may have hidden or deleted it, or moderators removed it. Also check your filters: NSFW display and selected tags. See Catalog and smart search.
What is a persona?
It’s you in the story: a name and a couple of lines about yourself that the character knows. You can have several personas for different roles. See Personas.
How do I report a character or a reply?
In the menu of a message, choose Complain; for a character, use its menu and Report chatbot. See Rules and safety.
⚡ Tokens, subscription and payments
Section titled “⚡ Tokens, subscription and payments”What are tokens?
The site’s in-house currency. It pays for messages on paid models, images beyond the free limit and access to paid characters. See Tokens.
How do the plans differ?
The main differences are the character’s memory size, the available models, and the number of personas and images. Dreamer, Explorer and Story GOD are paid subscriptions. The comparison is in Plans.
What is the Active plan?
A free plan that turns on by itself while you have purchased tokens on your balance: no ads, no queues, 5 personas. See Plans.
Do tokens expire?
No. Tokens stay on your balance, including after your subscription ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On the Subscribe page, click Cancel subscription and confirm. Your access stays until the end of the paid period. See Payments and promo codes.
I was charged, but the subscription or tokens didn’t arrive
Wait a few minutes and check the status in Profile → Purchase History. If the payment is completed but the purchase isn’t there, write to support and include the order ID.
How do I get a refund?
The terms are in the Refund Policy. To request one, write to support@caichat.ai and include the order ID.
Where can I get a promo code?
Promo codes are given out by CAICHAT creators and partners, as well as in our Discord and Telegram. Enter the code on the Subscribe page with the button. See Payments and promo codes.
💰 For creators
Section titled “💰 For creators”Can I earn money with my characters?
Yes. The creator gets part of the tokens users spend in chats with their characters, plus income from selling paid access. See Monetization and payouts.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
In Profile → Monetization → Billing, click Withdraw funds. The minimum withdrawal is $10; withdrawals of $100 or more require identity verification (KYC). You can also exchange income for tokens right away.
How do I get onto the leaderboard?
Create characters that people chat with a lot, like and add to favorites. The best creators of the month get rewards in tokens. See Leaderboard.
How do I invite a friend and get a bonus?
Create a campaign in the Affiliated section and share the link or code. Your friend gets a bonus on their purchase, and you get a percentage of their purchases. See Referral program.
👤 Account
Section titled “👤 Account”How do I change my username?
In your profile, click Settings → My Account. Username: 3 to 20 characters, Latin letters, digits and hyphens. See Profile and settings.
I forgot my password
On the login screen, click and follow the instructions in the email. Or log in with a Magic Link. See Account security.
How do I protect my account?
Turn on two-factor authentication with Google Authenticator and save your backup codes. See Account security.
How do I delete my account?
There is no delete button in the settings yet. Write to support@caichat.ai from the email linked to your account.
